Biographical Sketch:
2005- present -- Lead Syndromic Surveillance Program Coordinator for Georgia Division of Public Health Liaison to 18 Health Districts, the State Public Health Office of Preparedness and many stakeholders for Syndromic Surveillance and Emergency Preparedness Recruited facilities for participation in the Syndromic Surveillance Program throughout Georgia in coordination with local District Epidemiologists and their healthcare partners Provided training and education to Health Care Data Providers, Public Health District Epidemiologists, Public Health Liaisons, and Emergency Preparedness Coordinators in state and local jurisdictions to increase their capabilities and knowledge about syndromic surveillance and its use as a tool to aid in daily disease surveillance efforts Monitored and provided analytic support interpreting and responding to Syndromic Surveillance flags, locally and statewide Developed adaptable response flag/ trigger protocols for use by District- and State-level Public Health epidemiologists to guide interpretation of data and flags
