2001- 2003 -- Software Engineer, Motorola Inc, Fort Lauderdale, FL 2003-2006 -- Graduate Researcher, School of Health Information Sciences, University of Texas HSC, Houston 2006-2007 -- Public Health Informatics Fellow, Office of Workforce and Career Development, CCHIS, CDC 2007 - present -- Computer Scientist, DISSS, NCPHI, CCHIS, CDC Responsible for design, development and implementation of NEDSS MSS (2006-present). Leader of a biweekly national call for Electronic lab Results (ELR) reporting. Principal author and presenter for 30 national peer reviewed abstracts and presentations. Principal architect for the semantic web driven public health surveillance system (SAPPHIRE). Developed the OWL (Web Ontology Language) representation for the LOINC code system. Objective reviewer and panelist for 15 conferences and grants. DHHS certified Project Officer and FEMA certified in emergency management.
