Biographical Sketch:
Rita Sembajwe is a public health analyst/research health informatics specialist with RTI’s Research Computing Division. She has 7 years of combined experience in public health and information technology, this contributing to her strong understanding of the fundamentals of Public Health Informatics (e.g. standards and best practices, the importance of a liaison between health and technology, and system interoperability and security). She has worked in the areas of quarantine border health, comprehensive cancer control, genetic cancer counseling, emergency management, IT business solutions, Web site management and usability testing, and freelance graphic design. Her experience includes the academic, nonprofit, government, and private sectors.
