Biographical Sketch:
Beatriz de Faria Leão has an MD (1977) and a PhD (1986). She has been into health informatics since 1980. Beatriz allies solid academic background to public and private sector experience. Currently she’s the Health Architect of Zilics Information Systems in São Paulo; Convener of WG1- Data Structures of the Brazilian mirror Committee of ISO TC 215 -– Health Informatics; Vice-Convener of WG8 – Business Requirements for the EHR at ISO TC 215 and Chair of HL7 Brazil Steering Committee. Associate Professor of Health Informatics at Federal University of São Paulo from 1998-2000 and Consultant at the Brazilian MOH from 2000-2004.
