Biographical Sketch:
2006-present -- Member, eHealth Initiative Leadership Council, Washington, DC 2005-present -- Assistant Commissioner and Chair, Primary Care Information Project, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Division of Health Care Access and Improvement 2005-present -- President, International Society for Disease Surveillance, Boston, MA 2004-present -- Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor, Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, MA 2001-present -- Clinical Assistant Professor -- Cornell Weil Medical College 2001-present -- Visiting Research Scientist, New York Academy of Medicine Dr. Mostashari is the Assistant Commissioner and Chair of the Primary Care Information Project at the DOHMH and has been leading several innovative programs to develop and use health IT to improve public health. He is a principal investigator of the NYC Center of Excellence in Public Health Informatics, and the AHRQ HIT grant for evaluating quality measurement at the point of care. He was elected Chair of the International Society of Disease Surveillance in 2006-8, is a member of the Markle Foundation’s Connecting for Health Steering Committee, the NQF Ambulatory Care Performance Measures Technical Advisory Panel on Implementation, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Project Health Design National Advisory Committee, the eHI Leadership Council, HITSP Biosurveillance committee, and the New York eCollaborative (NYeC) Board of Directors.
