Uses expertise in epidemiology, infectious disease and statistics to assist members of the ESSENCE team in epidemiologic/statistical analysis; design and review of visual, statistical and logical changes to the ESSENCE system(s); and writing white papers and proposals for new research. Also serves as project manager for electronic surveillance efforts in GEIS funded project in the Philippines and for a project developing software to estimate outbreak impact and hospital surge for CBRNE events. Before joining JHU/APL, served as PI, project coordinator, and consulting epidemiologist for studies and clinical trials for preventive treatment for tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.
