Biographical Sketch:
Knut Staring holds an MBA from Cornell University and worked on systems development at a leading Nordic IT consultancy before embarking on a PhD in Information Systems at the University of Oslo, with a focus on the public health sector. Staring has experience in globally distributed open source software development for low-resource contexts. Staring joined the WHO Information, Evidence and Research Cluster with responsibility for coordinating the development of an interoperable suite of tools for Country Health System Strengthening, improving the efficiency and quality of data collection and analysis from the facility up to the global level with WHO's collaborative centers and other partners.
