Biographical Sketch:
Colleen Martin received her bachelors of science in biology from Wake Forest University in 2001 and her masters of science in public health jointly majoring in epidemiology and environmental and occupational health in 2004. She worked as an epidemiologist for almost 4 years with the CDC National Center for Public Health Informatics BioSense program, providing epidemiologic expertise in developing system requirements, liaising with state and local health department users, and leading a team of analysts responsible for daily analysis of BioSense data. She is currently an epidemiologist with the CDC National Center for Environmental Health's Health Studies Branch. Her activities include chemical, radiological, and natural disaster surveillance and emergency preparedness/response, outbreak response, and planned research studies examining the associations between environmental exposures and health outcomes.
