Biographical Sketch:
Tom Brinks, PMP has worked for SAIC as a consultant to the CDC in Atlanta, GA for 5.5 years. He is a Senior IT Project Manager with over 30 years experience in full Life-Cycle Software Development. At the CDC he managed the PHIN-MS product development team as well as projects for the CDC’s Director’s Emergency Operations Center.
He became PMP certified in 2001, recently received an Advanced Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. He co-founded the PMI Atlanta chapter’s mentoring program, was its Program Director for three years, has spoken at PMI conferences, and has taught seminars in Project Management. He participated in PMI’s Work Breakdown Structure Practice Standard Update. He has trained, mentored, and championed PM methods throughout many organizations. He is married and lives in Decatur, GA with his wife and 12-year-old daughter.
