Biographical Sketch:
Kenneth D. Mandl, MD, MPH is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric emergency physician and received his doctorate in medicine from Harvard Medical School in 1989, and his Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health in 1995. He completed graduate work in medical informatics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was awarded the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), which is "the highest honor bestowed by the U.S. government on outstanding scientists and engineers beginning their independent careers." Mandl was recently elected to the American Pediatric Society and to the American Society for Clinical Investigation.
