Biographical Sketch:
Chip Baber, is a Principal Consultant with Oracle's Public Sector Division based out of Reston, Virginia. Over the past 9 years he has worked hand in hand with Civilian Agencies, the Department of Defense, State and Local Governments, Integrators and Oracle Development to construct future technical solutions to address real world problems. The solutions involve both corporate films and the construction of live demonstration systems to showcase a vision of the possible that utilizes hardware and software that exist today. Over the past two years Chip managed the development of a solution called FLU. The project involved members of the Public Sector Community, Public Health Experts, Higher Education Institutes and Hewlett-Packard. The project was designed to spawn innovation discussions at all levels of government. Since its' launch in January 2009 FLU has been shown around the world to thought leaders highlighting the ever important role technology plays in detecting and protecting the global population against disease.
