Biographical Sketch:
Bill Brand began working with registries in 1994, when he became the Immunization Action Plan Coordinator at the Minnesota Department of Health. As registries grew in importance and complexity, he moved to being the Registry Coordinator for Minnesota, supporting the development of community-based registries across the state. With the recent deployment of a statewide, web-based registry application, he now coordinates all planning, policy, funding, legislative, marketing, and privacy aspects of registries in Minnesota. Bill is a charter member of the American Immunization Registry Association, and currently serves as its President. He also chairs the PROW Work Group that developed the Standards of Excellence aimed at enhancing registry support of other immunization program components. He is also active on several CDC work groups related to immunization registries.
