June 2005 to Present - Health Scientist, Office on Smoking and Health, National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta, Georgia April 2001 to June 2005 - Public Health Analyst, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems CDC Information Technology Support (CITS), Atlanta, Georgia August 1999 to April 2001 - Data Manager, Battelle's Centers for Public Health Research and Evaluation Under Contract to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Atlanta, Georgia • Serve as an expert on tobacco use prevention and control issues. • Provide expert technical assistance and management of database systems within the office. • Manage all activities, contracts, and budget for the Office on Smoking and Health’s online database, the State Tobacco Activities Tracking and Evaluation (STATE) System. • Act as tobacco work group coordinator for Healthy People 2010. • Analyze state tobacco control legislation in order to code and track for inclusion in the Office on Smoking and Health’s legislative surveillance system. Using legislative data, create scientific fact sheets, publications and presentations to distribute data more widely across multiple settings.
