• Serve as an expert on tobacco use prevention and control issues.
• Provide expert technical assistance and management of database systems within the office.
• Manage all activities, contracts, and budget for the Office on Smoking and Health’s online database, the State Tobacco Activities Tracking and Evaluation (STATE) System.
• Act as tobacco work group coordinator for Healthy People 2010.
• Analyze state tobacco control legislation in order to code and track for inclusion in the Office on Smoking and Health’s legislative surveillance system. Using legislative data, create scientific fact sheets, publications and presentations to distribute data more widely across multiple settings.
