Integrating Viral Hepatitis into Client Centered Counseling

Background:
In this time of limited and decreasing funding all of us are maximizing our resources to increase collaboration and capacity through integration of programs and fundamental program components. This poster highlights the evaluation of a training curriculum that promotes viral hepatitis integration in client centered counseling sessions.

Objective:
List components of the "Integrating Viral Hepatitis into Client Centered Counseling" curriculum.
Determine the evaluation results of the pilot trainings.
Discuss if the training course would be beneficial in your project area.

Method:

Result:
Participants viral hepatitis knowledge significantly increased.
Participants reported an increased comfortability discussing viral hepatitis prevention messages.
Participants reported the training as worthwhile and something they would refer to a colleague.
Participants consider the skills application the most valuable part of the training.

Conclusion:
Training is necessary to increase knowledge and comfort levels around new and evolving information related to viral hepatitis.
