Biographical Sketch:
Currently team leader on a team developing Strand Displacement Amplification (SDA)-based assays that amplify and detect target DNA associated with infectious diseases.
Worked on teams to develop specimen processing procedures and optimize chemistry conditions for DNA-based assays for the detection of mycobacteria and community acquired pneumonia agents. Assumed lead responsibility for designing and optimizing several novel SDA systems for the detection of Legionella pneumophila.
