Dr. Bachmann is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Bachmann trained in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Public Health (Epidemiology) at UAB with an emphasis on STD and HIV research.  A major focus of her research efforts has been on outreach to currently underserved populations and on methods to improve provision of STD/HIV care.
