Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Ramstrom is a Preventive Medicine and Family physician trained with the University of Colorado 1998-2000 and the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation 2003-2004. She is an Osteopathic Physician and graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, CA in 1993. She has practiced in a variety of clinical settings providing women’s health care and primary care since 1994. From 2000-2006 she worked with the El Paso County health department in Colorado Springs, CO where she provided medical oversight and was involved in a wide array of programs such as family planning, STD, pregnancy testing, communicable disease, immunization, epidemiology and research, emergency preparedness, breast and cervical CA screening, infant mortality, violence and injury and tobacco prevention. Since May of 2006, Dr. Ramstrom has been with the CA Department of Public Health Maternal, Child, & Adolescent Health Program. Her professional interests include prevention, family planning, infant mortality, prematurity, preconception health, responsible sexual behavior, STD, evidence based program planning and health information technology.
