Biographical Sketch:
Elizabeth is the Senior Bioterrorism Epidemiologist with the Surveillance Section at the Michigan Department of Community Health. Elizabeth joined MDCH in 2003 after receiving her master’s degree in infectious disease epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. After almost 3 years working closely with the local health departments of West Michigan as the Region 6 Epidemiologist, Elizabeth accepted her present position in the summer of 2006. Her current work focuses on improving communicable disease surveillance in Michigan, which includes development and support for the Michigan Disease Surveillance System and the Emergency Department Syndromic Surveillance System.
