Biographical Sketch:
Danielle Sollers received her Bachelor’s of Science in Community Health Education from the University of Maryland College Park in 2000. She recently joined the National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD) as their Program Director. She is currently working on a CDC DASH funded project called the National Stakeholders Meetings that brings state departments of health and state departments of education together to strengthen communication and collaboration between SEA and SHA to support and improve HIV, STD, and unintended and teen pregnancy prevention for school-aged youth. Prior to coming to NCSD she worked at the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs and she also worked on this project throughout her time with AMCHP as well. Prior to coming to AMCHP she worked for the Prince George’s County Health Department for 2 years working on a Media Campaign focused on raising awareness of county residents on the availability of Maryland’s Children’s Health Program (MCHP) to reduce infant mortality in the county and empower women of reproductive age to reduce unwanted and unplanned pregnancies through targeted media messages.
