Biographical Sketch:
2007-present -- Assistant Professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health, School of Public Health, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota. 2005-present -- Postdoctoral Fellow in the Program in Human Sexuality, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Horvath has served on two NIH -funded studies to design and implement an Internet-based HIV interventions. He is currently PI of a CDC-funded formative research study to understand the needs of persons recently diagnosed with HIV. Dr. Horvath designed and implemented one of the first web-based diary studies of MSM’s sexual behavior and Internet use. He has co-authored papers and presentations on the sexual risk behavior associated with Internet use among MSM, rural MSM, and young adult MSM, as well as papers on the challenges of Internet-based survey and recruitment methodology.
