Biographical Sketch:
1996-1999 District Supervisor, South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, South Carolina I was hired to supervise a Four County District. I was responsible for training new employees on interviewing skills/techniques, case management, counseling clients regarding Sexually Transmitted Diseases/HIV/Tuberculosis. I was also responsible for ensuring the employee gain Phlebotomy (blood drawing skills) and I coordinated contact with all community outreach organizations. We were responsible for the jails in which we would go into the jails twice per month and conduct Syphilis and HIV Screenings. During the screening, we offered education on all sexually transmitted diseases. I was also responsible for follow-up on all sexually transmitted diseases for the District. I was responsible for coordinating HIV Team Meetings which consisted of reviewing all new positive cases and offering a plan of action to deter increase in morbidity. I was responsible for all monthly reports, which would include surveillance, morbidity, and monthly planning. Overall, I was responsible for all outreach worker activities. 1999-2003, 2005-present Quality Assurance Manager, Fulton County Department of Health & Wellness Communicable Disease Prevention Branch I was responsible for coordinating all efforts for four outreach workers, one laboratory technologist and two clerical staff members. This coordination was conducted with much collaboration with Clinic Managers. I was responsible for all outreach activity which included monitoring and advising activities, interviewing all patients testing positive for sexually transmitted diseases. I was responsible for ensuring and updating training on case management of all sexually transmitted diseases. I was responsible for staff meetings and ensuring all staff was aware of any changes in policy or protocol.
