Biographical Sketch:
Jacqueline McCright has developed, planned, implemented and evaluated community-based sexually transmitted disease (STD) services and managed staff for the STD Prevention and Control Program of the San Francisco Department of Public Health for 10+ years. She has also served as a co-investigator and consultant on various CDC STD/HIV research projects. Presently, she is coordinating the syphilis awareness and prevention efforts, which includes innovative social marketing campaigns for gay and bisexual men in San Francisco. Most recently, she is spearheading the first U.S. sexual health text messaging service - SexINFO for adolescents in SF and its social marketing campaign. She has served as Interim Director of Southeast Health Center (which is the largest community-based primary healthcare facility in the African American community in San Francisco). Additionally, she has been instrumental in planning and implementing community health education programs for adolescents in San Francisco over the past ten years, through collaboration with community-based organizations, schools and other health service agencies.
