Biographical Sketch:
LaKeshia M. Strong is a Public Health Educator for the Georgia Department of Human Resources/Prevention Services Branch/Division of Public Health/STD Section. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, she provides technical assistance and other services throughout the entire state.
Prior to 2005, LaKeshia was a Health Educator with the Southeast Health District. Serving in the mostly rural and largest land based health district in the state, she was the lead health educator for the Corrections Project. During this time, she was responsible for planning and implementing STD/HIV educational sessions with incarcerated populations (both adults and juveniles) within prisons and detentions centers. She also provided health education for recently released persons at substance abuse recovery centers. Furthermore, she was responsible for collecting, analyzing, evaluating, and reporting programmatic data.
