Biographical Sketch:
Chris Taylor manages the Viral Hepatitis Program at the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD). In this role, he facilitates communication, information exchange and technical assistance between state hepatitis, HIV, STD and immunization programs and federal partners. Mr. Taylor also works with the NASTAD Government Relations program to educate Members of Congress, the Administration and Federal Agencies on the hepatitis needs of public health departments and persons living with and at risk for viral hepatitis. Prior to joining the staff at NASTAD, Mr. Taylor worked for a state health department for 6 years. While at the state health department, he served as the state Hepatitis C Coordinator, coordinated HIV counseling and testing quality assurance activities, conducted integrated HIV/STD/hepatitis counseling and testing trainings, and conducted HIV/STD partner notification activities. Mr. Taylor has also worked in HIV prevention at a local health department and a community based organization. He currently serves as the Chair of the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable (NVHR).
