Biographical Sketch:
2009 (June–August): Intern at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Bureau of STD Control - Worked closely with epidemiologists within the BSTD in analyzing data from a multi-agency cross-match of registries 2008 – present: Research assistant at the George Washington University, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics (in partnership with the National Minority Quality Forum) - Apply small area estimation techniques to national complex surveys (i.e. NHANES, BRFSS) - Use Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques to examine patterns of health disparities in the United States 2006 – 2008: Biostatistician at the EMMES Corporation - Contributed to study protocols and statistical analysis plans for international vaccine and drug trials - Contributed to ophthalmic data analyses using failure time and repeated measures methodology - Prepared and presented safety reports to Data Safety Monitoring Committees for Phase I, II and III clinical trials and additional regulatory reports - Developed and maintained SAS programs used to generate daily web reports and web alerts
