Biographical Sketch:
Judi Bulmer is currently the Director of Field Operations for the Bureau of STD Control at the New York State Department of Health in Albany, New York.
She oversees programmatic field operations throughout the NYS (excluding NYC) and coordinates STD/HIV activities from reporting to partner notification.
Ms. Bulmer ensures that the Bureau's STD program objectives and initiatives are established and maintained between regional offices and local health units as well as with other public and private health care providers. She has worked in the public health field since 1983 holding positions as Disease Intervention Specialist with the Onondaga County Health Department, HIV Counselor with the NYS DOH Bureau of Direct Program Operations, and as Education and Training Coordinator with the NYS DOH Bureau of Tuberculosis Control where she contributed to the development of national TB interviewing resources for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Ms. Bulmer also co-presented, "Starting Internet Partner Services: The NYS Experience" at the 2009 National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors Technical Assistance Meeting Reaching Gay Men Using the Internet and "Joining Forces: Successful Models for HIV/STD Integration" at the 2007 HIV Prevention Leadership Summit.
