Biographical Sketch:
2003-present – Research Specialist, Johns Hopkins University, International STD Laboratory, Baltimore, MD Nicole has been working in the lab for 5 years and is experienced in all STD molecular assays. She performs laboratory assays, and has experience in all aspects of laboratory diagnosis of Chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas, and syphilis. She performs various molecular, serological, and cell culture procedures, including, but not limited to, DNA/RNA isolation from human specimens, polymerase chain reaction, strand displacement, transcription mediated amplification, microimmunofluorescence, cell passage and inoculation. Nicole analyzes data for independent research projects, writes and assists in the preparation of abstracts and manuscripts and represents laboratory at scientific conferences. Coauthor of 2 publications primarily relating Chlamydia testing. 14 abstracts.
