Biographical Sketch:
Dave Johnson has been the Project Coordinator for the Seen on da Streets project since 2001. This project is a unique collaboration between the City of Minneapolis Department of Health and Family Support and two local community health centers, Fremont Clinic and Teen Age Medical Services, Inc. This project uses a peer outreach model to connect underserved males to reproductive health services, connecting with males in community parks, local service organizations, alternative and charter schools, and on the street. A unique innovation of the project has been the use of off-site specimen collection to facilitate screening for gonorrhea and chlamydia among the target population.
