Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Cullins is currently Vice-President for Medical Affairs at Planned Parenthood Federation of America in New York City. She received her MD degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and her MPH degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. She then completed her MBA degree at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellowship in Primary Care Obstetrics and Gynecology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Past work experience includes Vice President and Medical Director of Technical Services at EngenderHealth, formerly AVSC International. At EngenderHealth, Vanessa managed a team of medical professionals in both the New York City headquarters and field offices in more than 25 countries worldwide. Prior to joining EngenderHealth, Vanessa simultaneously worked as an attending physician in the Department of Ob/Gyn at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center; was an assistant professor in the Department of Gyn/Ob at Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine; and was acting director of the Bureau of Adolescent Reproductive and Women’s Health with the Baltimore City Health Department. At the Baltimore City Health Department she had oversight of clinic operations, clinical protocol development, and supervision of a medical staff of more than 30 people in five city clinics. Her primary research interest is service delivery in reproductive health care.
