2005 - present -- Program Manager, Houston Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of HIV/STD and Viral Hepatitis Prevention, Houston, TX 2002 - 2005 -- HIV Project Analyst, Harris County Hospital District, HIV Services, Houston, TX 1999 - 2002 -- Epidemiologist, Houston Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Epidemiology, HIV Surveillance Program, Houston, TX • Manage the HIV Prevention Program (2005 - present) • Monitor an annual program budget of approximately $5.2 million (2005 - present) • Assisted in drafting and releasing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for HIV/STD Prevention Services in Harris County in the amount of $3.2 million (2006) • Serve as a government representative to the Urban Coalition of HIV/AIDS Prevention Services (UCHAPS) (2005 - present) • Participated in a process to develop HIV prevention standards for subcontractors (2007) • Developed and implemented a quality management program within HIV Services (2002 - 2005) • Abstracted, compiled and analyzed data monthly for quality management activities (2002 - 2005) • Participated in interdisciplinary activities to address opportunities for improvement (2002 - 2005) • Served as chair of the Thomas Street Health Center performance improvement committee (2002 - 2005) • Coordinated a citywide HIV-testing social marketing campaign (2002 - 2003) • Managed special studies and participated in special projects, including the Survey of HIV Disease and Care (SHDC) study funded by the CDC (2001 - 2002) • Evaluated and investigated HIV/AIDS case reports applying the CDC AIDS case definition (1999 - 2002) • Conducted active surveillance through retrospective record reviews to assure accuracy in case reporting (1999 - 2001)
