Biographical Sketch:
Lisa M. Romero, Dr. P.H. joined the CDC-DASH team in September 2005 as a Health Scientist in the Research Application Branch of the Division of Adolescent School Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Romero serves as content expert and advisor in the design, conduct, and analysis of intervention and surveillance studies and projects related to reducing sexual risk behaviors among school-age populations and translates and communicates research syntheses findings related to reducing sexual risk behaviors among school-age populations to public health officials, the scientific community and the general public. She received her Doctorate in Public Health at the University of California Berkeley in 2005, where her research was focused on the relationship of body image to sexual risk taking among Hispanic and white female adolescents in New Mexico.
