Biographical Sketch:
I am a Behavioral Scientist with CDC. My areas of scientific and programmatic contribution includes: adult sexuality, MSM of color, corrections, people affected by homelessness, cognitive-behavioral interventions, community partnerships, pandemic/disaster planning for communities and at-risk populations, as well as mentoring and devleopment of junior public health professionals. My community level contributions include: untilizing community partnerships to build social capital and improve community health, serving on a local board of health as the city council community appointee, writting health communications for a Unity organization, and Spiritual Psychology. Prior to CDC, I was a research associate with an HIV Center, who managed and lead projects on gay, lesbian and bisexual youth, HIV+ mothers with pre-adolescent children, HIV+ concordant couples, and African-American women at-risk for HIV. I taught Human Sexuality, Marriage and Family Studies, and Psychology at University of Houston, LaGuardia Commuity and Atlanta Metropolitan College.
