Biographical Sketch:
METRO PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT OF NASHVILLE, Nashville, TN Research /Data Analyst/Program Evaluation 09/07 – Present Work with the Ryan White HIV/AIDS program conducting program evaluation and data analysis in the Nashville community. Responsible for annual needs assessment that includes the creation of an epidemiological report for the area, an unmet need estimate for the middle Tennessee region, quality management assessment and town hall meetings. Conduct data analysis by comparing service utilization data, hospital discharge data, TennCare data, and HARS to estimate unmet need numbers for the targeted grant area. Conduct focus groups that include People Living with HIV/AIDS and targeted sub-groups (African Americans, Women, Jail populations, etc.) Created and continuously administer an Early Intervention Survey that assesses why people drop out of primary medical care. Created and administered a resource audit that was distributed to every community service agency in Middle Tennessee to assess the berth of HIV/AIDS services available and to determine the capacity of the agencies to handle HIV/AIDS clients. Collect quarterly client-level data exports from all contracted service providers and analyze utilization patterns and trend data pertaining to several issues such as demographics characteristics and regional data, program assessment, cost per service, cost per client and service efficiency. Manage and use this data to inform the planning and resource allocation process that determines how to appropriate federal funds. Maintain community partnerships with health advocates, service agencies and Ryan White consumers. Establish and staff advisory committees consisting of community partners and stakeholders. Wrote large majority of Ryan White grant application for grant cycles 2 and 3. Responsible for writing tri-annual Comprehensive Plan that details the Nashville MSA’s comprehensive system of care.
