Biographical Sketch:
9/05- Present Epidemiologist, Sexually Transmitted Diseases Metro Public Health Department, Nashville, TN Responsible for monitoring sexually transmitted diseases in the Metro Nashville region of Tennessee using epidemiological studies to identify health problems and to evaluate progress towards STD prevention and control. Collect, analyze, and disseminate STD risk factor data to address related health issues. 7/04- 8/05 Chronic Disease Prevention Coordinator South Health District 8-1, Valdosta, GA Responsible for chronic disease surveillance and chronic disease prevention program evaluation for a 10-county health district. Served as the liaison between public health and community partners for chronic disease prevention with a specific focus on policy and environmental changes. Collaborated with the Georgia Division of Public Health to develop district strategic plans related to the prevention of chronic diseases. Back-up to district surveillance duty officer (district epidemiologist).
