Biographical Sketch:
2005-present, Chief of Department of Epidemiology and Threat Assessment in the Military HIV Research Program/Division of Retrovirology, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, Rockville, MD. Physician epidemiologist responsible for conduct research/public health study of military relevant HIV/HIV-related infections Led public health investigations of deployment-related HIV infections among US Army soldiers and transfusion transmitted infections among US recipients of battlefield transfusions. Presented findings of investigation of transfusion transmitted infections at North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Blood Conference, 2009. 2003-2005, Deputy Director, Army Medical Surveillance Activity, US Army Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine, Washington, D.C.. Led public health investigation of multi-drug resistant acinetobacter infections among US combat casualties.
