Biographical Sketch:
Nurse Consultant for CDC funded Project Connect in Detroit, Mi, working with schools and providers to link at-risk teens to quality reproductive health services. Currently coordinating an Adolescent Screening Project at 15 high school and previously at two university health clinics, funded by Michigan Department of Community Health. Past coordinator of STD screening project in Oakland County, MI at multiple adolescent venues. Over twenty years of community health nursing experience as an instructor, research assistant and clinician in a STD clinic. Numerous presentations to the state Juvenile Detention Association; Region V and Michigan’s Infertility Prevention Alliance Meetings; Michigan STD & HIV Annual Conference (1999, 2001, 2007); Regional CDC Conference on Collaboration to Address STDs within the Juvenile Justice System (2002); National STD Prevention Conference (2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010); and National Association of School Based Health Clinics (2008, 2011). Awarded MDCH “It Takes a Village” in 2006.
