Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Chow has been a Specialist in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine for 7 years, and epidemiologist in the California Departmnet of Public Health-Sexually Transmitted Disease Control Branch for 10 years. Her areas of interest have been in evaluation of new chlamydia diagnostic technologies, reproductive health complications associated with chlamydia infections in women, chlamydia and gonorrhea prevalence monitoring in family planning populations and development of screening guidelines, and evaluation of quality improvement interventions aimed at increasing chlamydia screening, and other STD quality measures. She oversees a team of epidemiologists at the CDPH STD Control Branch who analyze STD surveillance data for the development of STD control strategies for statewide and local implementation. She is also the Chair of the Region IX Infertility Prevention Project Data Committee.
