Biographical Sketch:
Mary Jett-Goheen is a member of the senior staff in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine. She is a certified Medical Technologist with over 20 years of bench experience in all areas of the clinical laboratory in various settings. She also has five years of experience as a Research Technician at the JHU School of Public Health. Ms. Jett-Goheen has 10 years of progressive management experience, and was the supervisor of the clinical microbiology laboratory at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, which required a comprehensive knowledge of the operations and technical methodologies of that area. As a qualified clinical laboratory technical manager, she has implemented and used laboratory diagnostic testing, conducted training in laboratory procedures, raised skill levels of laboratorians, written and revised NCCLS/CLSI- compliant policies and procedures, prepared for regulatory agency inspections, and monitored laboratory safety precautions for compliance.
