Anna Hotton is the Epidemiologist at Howard Brown Health Center. Located in Chicago, Howard Brown is the Midwest’s largest gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender health organization. Ms. Hotton began working at Howard Brown in 2008. She oversees data management for the STD Surveillance Network (SSuN) Project, a national disease surveillance program coordinated by the CDC. She is also responsible for analysis and reporting of local STD surveillance data, and assisting with analysis of data from various research projects. Prior to her appointment at Howard Brown, Ms. Hotton worked as an intern at the Chicago Department of Public Health, where she was in charge of all data entry for the Syphilis Elimination Project within the Division of HIV/STD Surveillance. Ms. Hotton received an MPH from the University of Illinois-Chicago School of Public Health in 2006 and a PhD from the Division of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at UIC in 2011.
