Biographical Sketch:
2001-current -- Assistant Director of Health Informatics & Integrated Surveillance Systems, Division of Disease Prevention, Office of Epidemiology, Virginia Department of Health, Richmond, VA Responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining multiple data systems and data management processes to improve the quality and availability of public health related data and ensure database integrity for multiple programs/projects. Standardize processes for data system development, testing, implementation, evaluation, and operation. Design and modify databases to meet user needs in collecting, analyzing, reporting and data sharing. Perform quality assurance activities. Automate processes for importing and manipulation of data in respective data systems. Prepare various data summaries and statistical reports of HIV/STD screening and enhanced surveillance data. Develop and communicate protocols, procedures and standards relevant to programs, projects and data systems for data collection, analyses, evaluation, and quality assurance (QA) processes. Other responsibilities include project development, planning, and monitoring; grant management; and supervision.
