Campaign Coordinator
Responsible for developing, managing and evaluating a statewide campaign for HIV testing
Planned, coordinated and implemented the 2006, 2007 and 2008 “Get Real Get Tested” HIV testing and education campaigns.
Identify and met key partners to contribute to and support the campaign.
Partnered with local health department officials, local universities and community organizations to determine need for outreach events and testing.
Collaborate with DPH HIV prevention, care and planning units.
Determine areas to target testing based on analysis of epidemiological data.
Meet with upper level management and developed policies based on the data and recommendations given.
Make recommendations to management and staff on structuring outreach events based on data.
Assist in outreach events in targeted testing areas.
Collect and analyze data from targeted outreach events.
Manage contracts with local community based organization for campaign
Present evaluation reports to management and core team based on data and evaluation of outreach events.
Write grants which have generated $300,000 in financial support for the campaign.
Create communications and press packets to be distributed to media.
Create media plan for media partner to execute.
Interface with local and national elected officials for support of “Get Real Get Tested”.
Interact with media outlets across the state and act as a representative for the Communicable Disease Branch.
Collaborated with Public Affairs for the Department of Health and Human Services to address media and legislative inquiries.
Represent the Communicable Disease Branch at meetings and events as needed.
