Biographical Sketch:
1988-1992 -- Director of Research and Development, Minnesota Institute of Public Health, Anoka, MN 1992-1994 -- Senior Associate, Emeritus Corporation, St. Paul, MN 1994-1995 -- Community Assessment Coordinator, Public Health—Seattle & King County, Seattle, WA 1995-present -- Community Health Planner, Center for MultiCultural Health, Seattle, WA 1999-present -- Program Director, Cardea, Seattle, WA Manage the Region X Infertility Prevention Project, a CDC-funded initiative to prevent STD-related infertility and other complications of pelvic inflammatory disease and to reduce racial/ethnic disparities in gonorrhea and chlamydia. Managed and contributed to a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research, evaluation, and capacity-building and training projects including a CDC-funded project to integrate HIV prevention into family planning services; three HHS--Office of Population Affairs-funded projects to: 1) increase male involvement in family planning and reproductive health services, 2) improve the delivery of family planning and reproductive health services to individuals from culturally diverse communities, and 3) explore racial/ethnic differences and disparities in chlamydia; and a qualitative study on the status of women and girls in four counties in Washington State.
