Biographical Sketch:
Erie County Department of Health Epidemiological Investigator (1985-present) Plan, organize and direct Erie County epidemiological program to identify, control and eradicate STD and HIV Coordinate the Sexually Transmitted Disease Program in Erie County including surveillance and reporting, case management, laboratory management and interpretation issues, student intern management, prevention, and education activities, computer technology implementation, program direction, development and evaluation, clinic management and quality assurance control, staff development, and professional consultation. Insure compliance with PA DOH and CDC mandated reporting, surveillance, and case management activities. Founded, managed and continued participation in the county’s HIV/AIDS Program. Duties include case-finding analysis, fiscal management, policy development, public and professional education, program development, testing/counseling surveillance and reporting, staff training and development, grant development, and community outreach. Erie County Department of Health Environmental Protection Specialist (1980-1985) Conduct department duties as County sanitarian within the Division of Community Environmental Control Programs include Food Service Sanitation, Water Quality, Sewage Sanitation, School, Institution, Campground, and Mobile Park Facilities Regulation, and Nuisance Control. Pennsylvania State University, The Behrend College Guest Instructor (Substitute), Science Department (1993) Instructor of Introductory Human Physiology Pennsylvania Department of Health Swine Flu Initiative Coordinator (1976) Organize the DOH Swine Flu Initiative Program in Warren and Crawford Counties. Duties included the logistics of public clinics, communications and advertising, vaccine inventory, and program direction for captive groups.
