Biographical Sketch:
1997 -present - Research Microbiologist, CDC, Laboratory Reference and Research Branch. Atlanta, Ga. Responsible for the development of POC tests for the simultaneous detection of trepoemal and nontreponemal antibodies in pateints with syphilis. Responsible for deveolpment of an EIA nontreponemal test for syphilis. Responsible for the development of a dual treponemal nontreponemal chemoluminescence test for syphilis Responsible for development of a synthetic VDRL antigen for syphilis. Awarded 3 US and international patents for the serological diagnosis of syphilis. Awarded The Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer. 2008, for Dual Antigen Detection Assay for Syphilis. Represented the CDC and the Department of Health and Human Services. Author and Coauthor of 9 publications related to the serological diagnosis of syphilis.
