Biographical Sketch:
2006-present - Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics, SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Buffalo, NY 2005-9 - Medical Director, Epidemiology and Surveillance and STD and TB Control, Erie County Department of Health, Buffalo, Erie County Department of Health, Buffalo, NY 1999-2005 - Medical Officer, CDC, Division of Adolescent and School Health, Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Division of STD Prevention, Atlanta, GA Currently, responsible for supervising pediatric medical trainees in the Adolescent Clinic, providing adolescent patient care, supervising high school-based clinic nurse practitioners and supervising health department STD clinical services. Current research conducted on adolescent sexual health services and programmatic work conducted with national and local medical professional organizations to improve adolescent sexual health care delivery. At CDC (1999-2005), responsible for developing a school-based STD screening programmatic guide, supervising the first rapid HIV testing post marketing surveillance project and conducting adolescent STD health services research. Author or coauthor on 54 published scientific papers, professional medical organization position papers, book chapters, review articles and letters to the editor in adolescent STD epidemiology and adolescent STD health services research.
