Biographical Sketch:
2007- present AIDS HealthCare Foundation work as a DIS/PHI enforcing public health laws, Investigating sources of communicable diseases, (Sypilis Elination Campaign) research and analyze cases. Interviewing clients and sex partners, case management, linking HIV positives into treatment. Making health promotion and prevention presentations. Technical support to medical providers. Prepared monthly quantitative and quality reports. Supervise a staff of four 3x a week on the HealthSpot mobile testing unit providing HIV/STD testing,education,phlebotomy,urine collection, working in high risk population female/male sex workers, their clients, pimps, and MSMs. Partner with local south L.A. Police Staions, Parks and recreation centers testing at carnivals, schools, and with entertainers by procuring tickets to concerts in exchange for testing. provide counseling referrals, education and field delivered therapy to positive clients and their sex partner for chlamydia and gonorrhea. 2002-2006 L.A. Shanti Community Health Outreach Womens Program. Primary duties are recrutting HIV positive women facilitating and coordinating workshops, assisting with the developmental aspects of programs,logistics. Assisted in making strategic STD prevention and intervention activities for women of color. Developed curriculums, monthly county reports. 1992-2002 Oregon Health Science Campus Certified Medical Assistant in pre-op, OR, internal medicine, and GYN; obtained pt histories, phlebotomy, injections, EKG, specimen processing, assist with minor surgeries, data entry, and scheduling. 2005 Invited to Swaziland South Africa to volunteer (Project Global Africa) HIV/STD testing, assisted in the facilatation of a teen summit, provided health education workshops, medical photograpy during surgeries, providing clothes, food, medicine to villages, orphaned children.
