Biographical Sketch:
2006-Present Public Health Advisor, Centers for Disease Control, Atlanta GA 2009-Present Responsible for: • Partner services activities at the DC Department of Health, Washington, DC • Provide trainings for partner services to Community Based Organizations and other partners of the Department of Health. • Participates in establishing work standards and performance measures. • Advises state/local health department personnel on the administrative aspects of program operations. • Advise health department personnel of the latest techniques in case finding, report investigation and other prevention measures • Evaluates the effectiveness of activities and services of team members in terms of prevention and treatment goals and objectives. • Provided training and education to the STD/HIV control program employees, health professionals, students, and others about STD and HIV control, prevention, and treatment methods. • Coordinated screening activities and other educational programs for Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS), and other community groups. • Facilitated chalk talks and held daily debriefings for DIS to review case management standards and follow up procedures. • Performed employee evaluations and audits for counseling, interviewing, case management, field, and surveillance activities for DIS and handled performance problems. • Performed STD clinic triage to assist the DIS, doctors, and other medical staff with diagnosis or treatment information on clients and contacts to known cases. • Reviewed case reports and other documents for accuracy and completeness. • Prepared and wrote monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports and narratives. • Evaluated the effectiveness of a complete project or program goal. • Followed-up with team members to assure timeliness in meeting milestones. • Reported field operations progress to senior management. • Assist in the coordinating/developing/adding required information for the new Maven computer system for the Department of Health. • Assist in writing the Comprehensive STD Prevention Systems Projects and Syphilis Elimination, Grants 2003-2006 Health Administrator I, Baltimore City Health Department, Baltimore, MD 2000-2003 Disease Intervention Specialist, Baltimore City Health Department, Baltimore, MD
