Biographical Sketch:
Hanna Hjord has over ten years of progressive public health and non-profit experience, including homeless advocacy, STD/HIV prevention, and international relief work in Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia. Passionate about community initiatives and interventions that strive to eliminate health inequities, her strengths are in project management, grant writing, data management, fundraising, and communications. Ms. Hjord has a Bachelors of Arts degree in International Relations and French from Claremont McKenna College and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Community Health Education from San Jose State University. She is also tri-lingual in English, Swedish and French. As the Research Assistant at San Francisco Department of Public Health – STD Prevention & Control Services, she is responsible for coordinating San Francisco’s Female Condom (FC2) Campaign as well as multiple clinical research studies.
