Biographical Sketch:
Camden Hallmark is a data analyst for the Houston Department of Health and Human Services in the Bureau of HIV/STD and Viral Hepatitis Prevention. In this capacity, Hallmark conducts HIV/STD analysis and quality assurance, coordinates data collection, and creates reports and presentations for dissemination. He has taken an active role in HIV/STD medical intelligence planning for large-scale public health interventions. Hallmark has worked previously in the Bureau of Epidemiology as the STD Epidemiologist for Houston/Harris County. Currently, he provides epidemiologic expertise as a member of a number of boards, including the Houston HIV Prevention Planning Group, the Ryan White Planning Council, and the Syphilis Elimination Advisory Council. Camden Hallmark has been honored to have presented HIV/STD research at several state and national conferences and is a frequent speaker at many local community meetings and trainings. Before joining the City of Houston, he conducted infectious disease research in New Orleans where he received his Master’s in Public Health. This research is part of the foundation of projects with which he is still involved to this day.
