Biographical Sketch:
Dan O’Connell is the Deputy Director for HIV, STD, Hepatitis C Prevention and Epidemiology at the New York State Health Department’s AIDS Institute. He oversees HIV, STD and hepatitis C prevention, HIV/STD surveillance and partner services, the Institute’s research functions, the state’s LGBT health and human services program, as well as harm reduction and opioid overdose prevention. He has been with the Institute over 24 years and has been co-author on dozens of publications and conference presentations related to his position.
